|I live in Kobe. This is "Kobe Luminarie". It stands for the requiem
for the victims at the Great Earthquake in Kobe on January 17, 1995.
It is for the revival of the city, dreams and hopes. It was begun as the memorial event in December, the same year as the earthquake. I was 5 years old then. I lost my grandmother. I still remember that day.
